FAQs

After completing your payment, you will usually receive your eSIM installation email within 1–5 minutes.

If you do not receive it, please check your spam/junk folder or contact our support team for assistance.

Yes, you can.

We recommend purchasing your eSIM before departure, and installing/activating it after arriving at your destination to avoid your usage period starting too early.

Yes, you can use both simultaneously.

We recommend the following setup:

  • Primary SIM → Calls & SMS
  • DiTrip eSIM → Mobile Data

This allows you to stay connected without affecting your ability to receive calls or messages on your original number.

No, eSIMs are for one-time installation only and cannot be transferred to another device.

Please make sure your device supports eSIM before installing.

Please check the following:

  • Make sure Mobile Data and Data Roaming are turned on
  • Ensure DiTrip eSIM is selected as the default data line
  • Try manually selecting a network (e.g., SoftBank, KDDI, etc.)

If the issue persists, please contact our support team immediately — we’ll assist you as soon as possible.

Most plans support hotspot (tethering).

However, availability may vary depending on local carrier policies, so actual usage is subject to network restrictions in your destination.

If the issue is confirmed by our support team to be a product defect (not caused by user error), we will provide a replacement or refund.

If the eSIM has been successfully installed, or the issue is caused by improper user operation, refunds will not be provided.

For more details, please refer to our Refund Policy.

Can I Pause or Extend My eSIM?

No, eSIM plans generally cannot be paused or extended once activated.

Most eSIM plans are valid for a fixed number of days, and the validity period starts once the eSIM is activated (usually when installed or first connected to the network).

Important Notes

  • The validity period cannot be paused, even if you are not using the data
  • Unused data or days will not be carried over
  • If you need more data or longer usage, you will need to purchase a new plan or top-up (if supported)

In most cases, we do not recommend testing the eSIM before departure.

Once the eSIM is installed or connects to a supported network, the validity period may start immediately, which could reduce your available usage time.

Recommended Practice

  • Install the eSIM before departure (while connected to Wi-Fi), but
  • Activate or use it only after arriving at your destination

Exception

Some eSIM plans allow installation without starting the validity until the first network connection. However, this depends on the specific plan.

If you’re unsure, feel free to contact our support team — we’ll help you confirm the best timing for your eSIM usage.
